From 1950 to 1968 it was sailing on the Aalborg / Copenhagen route. In 1971 it was sold to Greece and scrapped in 1984. Why is this ferry on a Christmas plate? 1951 is only a few years after WWII and this new build ship was Denmark's pride showing the technical capacity of the Danes. Compared with the fact that many Danish Christmas travelers had to use a ferry in the 1950' the ferry Jens Bang was a logical choice for a motif.
