Facts: Jorgen Nielsen has cut this wonderful pl. It is his 13' X-mas pl. design in row for Royal Copenhagen - his first was designed in 1992. When you live on the countryside, the cutting of the Christmas tree is a nice family activity. In Denmark many farmers sells coniferous trees after the "self cut" model. It's very popular to make a "picnic" out of the day. Denmark produce 12.500.000 spruce threes every year. Since we're about 2.300.000 households, most of the production are exported - primary to Germany. The rest goes to Switzerland, Norway, England, Austria and France.
